Alison Pill
Pill started out in Canadian films, but did not take long to break in to The American market. One such appearance included an episode of the Canadian show Traders with Bruce Gray. Pill was offered a part on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation starring Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey as well as Michael Ensign, in the episode "Would If, Maybe, But Shoulda" which was co-written and directed written and acted by Naren Shakar. Pill's role on Picard was followed by a prominent supporting role as "Katie" as a character in Devs. This TV show that was created by FX Productions on Hulu and operated by the digital VFX firm Double Negative, featured her in every episode. It was apparent that the similarities to Picard were not just limited to the similarities in Picard because the primary theme Devs was made clear to focus on the survival of consciousness within an artificial structure, like the one Data could be preserved within, which was revealed at the time in the Picard season one conclusion "Et the In Arcadia Ego Part 2".
