Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. Her most famous role is known for her role as Violet Plunkett from the CBS comedy 'Mom.' Calvano grew up in California she was initially attracted to competitive gymnastics. She decided, later on to follow a career of acting. Her screen debut was in an episode in 2010 of CBS's 'NCIS'. The big screen debut came a year later, in the biographical crime-drama film 'J Edgar'. She became one of the most talented young actors to be seen over the next few several years. In 2011, she received a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Actress on a TV Series as in the role of Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013 she was also nominated for yet another Young Artist Award for her performance as a guest in the Disney XD comedy series 'Kickin' It'. Calvano was one of the principal cast members of the show's first three seasons and appeared in several episodes of the final season. In 2015, her performance on 'Mom" brought her the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
